I had the idea a few years ago of an editorial shoot, based around the concept of a Northern Riviera, i.e. take the concept of French Riviera imagery and make it more Northern England. I wanted to shoot this in Manchester, Sheffield or Leeds, and Sheffield is where I do most of my studio shoots, so that’s where this one took place.
The specific Northern element was Henderson’s Relish, or Hendo’s as it’s more locally known. Henderson‘s is a big thing in Sheffield, so putting it in a cocktail glass and featuring it in the editorial was just the juxtaposition I was looking for.
For this shoot, we thought of daytime through to afternoon to late evening, hence the difference in sets and mood.
