Photography is slowing down as I’m busy with my consulting client and also managing free time for planning, building/sourcing and editing.
It’s usually better weather for shooting out in the hills, but has been pretty wet recently. I don’t mind rain, but it’s not fair on a model unless we’ve agreed to go a moody, rainy shoot. I also draw the line at lightning storms; I’ve never fancied being the tallest thing on a hill, especially if I’m waving a lightstand around. It sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Recently, I’ve had a number of shoots, including more fine art nude (not uploaded yet to this site, but you can see some on my PurplePort account.
The most recent shoot was with Kelsey (again, not uploaded yet), where we shot a vampire mermaid theme, quite accidentally. The original intention was a 1920s sci-fi villain, but the lighting effects and colour led us to think more vampire and mermaid combined. You can see some of that on Instagram account.
A previous shoot was with Lydia – Girl on Fire. Where we shot on a rustic wedding theme with vintage lace wedding dress, wooden easel and painting, porcelain and wicker hamper.
